SCHOOL PICTURES - October 21 & 22

School pictures will be on Wednesday, October 21 (Group 1) and Thursday, October 22 (Group 2).    All students must have their picture taken, including seniors.  Virtual students with last names beginning with A-L can come to have their picture taken from 7:15 - 8:15 a.m. or 3:30 - 4 p.m. on Wednesday , October 21. Virtual students with last names beginning with M-Z  can come from 7:15  - 8:15 a.m. or 3:30 - 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 22.

Those who wish to purchase a picture package need to order online.  Visit, use order code: 52313EB. Pay online with an electronic check, debit card, credit card or PayPal.


SAT - October 27

SAT School Day allows students to take the SAT test used for college admissions during the school day, rather than at a Saturday test center.  The test format, length, scores, and reporting are the same as at a traditional SAT test site.  The deadline to sign up for the Tuesday, October 27th administrationn at RHS is Tuesday, September 15th.  This is a Group 2 school day.  Group 1 or virtual students will have to attend in person to take the SAT on this day.


PSAT - October 29

The PSAT will be given on Thursday,October 29 from 8:00 – 11:30 a.m.  The PSAT test is for 9th and 10th graders and any juniors who sign up to take the test.   There are no test make-ups for the PSAT.  It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT and is the qualifying test that juniors take to enter the National Merit Scholarship.    Just a few reminders: get a good nights sleep, eat breakfast and be on time.


ASK ROSE - Tutoring Service (Math/Science)

All  Ask Rose  services are available at no cost to students or parents through a Lilly Endowment Inc. grant and financial assistance from Rose-Hulman.

Ask Rose Basics: Rose Hulman Institute of Technology offers free math and science tutoring for students in grades 6-12. Students may call 877-Ask-Rose (877-275-7673) to speak with a tutor, or go to the Ask Rose website.



If you think you qualify for textbook assistance, you will need to fill out an application.  You can apply on-line by going to the RCS website, - click on Back to School Information or fill out a form at registration.  Breakfast and lunch are free to all students this year. Assistance for textbooks does not carry over from year to year - you need to fill out a new form at the beginning of the new school year. The deadline is September 30, 2020.



9th, 10th and 11th grade 21st Century Scholars MUST complete the Scholar Track Program each year of high school to earn their scholarship.
