The Richmond Community Schools Human Resources Office provides its employees full-service human resource support. We are responsible for the areas of:

  • Employment applications - both certified and classified
  • Contractual items regarding fringe benefits, insurance, vacation days, retirement
  • Salary schedules for all positions
  • Staff recruiting
  • Licensing (including regular licenses, limited licenses and substitute licenses)
  • Internship Program
  • Substitute Teacher Information
  • Celebration of Excellence (Teacher of the Year)
  • Opening of School Year and Retirement Functions
  • Identification Badges

Richmond Community Schools prioritizes the well-being of its employees, recognizing the importance of mental health support. As part of our commitment, we offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). An EAP is a dedicated service designed to offer brief, solution-focused consultations aimed at assisting employees in addressing their concerns or finding appropriate resources. It's important to note that while the EAP provides valuable support, it is not intended for crisis or emergency intervention.

Through our EAP, employees have access to professional counseling at NO COST. Our EAP counselor is available to assist with a variety of life-altering issues, including but not limited to:

  • Stress with work or at home
  • Problems with children/family members
  • Emotional difficulties
  • Marriage or relationship concerns
  • Coping with change at work or home
  • Grief, anxiety
  • Alcoholism, drug abuse or dependence
  • Feelings of loneliness
  • Lifestyle management, personal issues
