the Richmond Area Career Center is a part of Richmond High School and provides Richmond Northeastern and Randolph Southern students with 13 different programs to jump start their career paths I love the environment that we've created here I mean this is this is a a relatively safe area where you can kind of let loose it's a very valuable thing to know because not everybody nowadays knows these type of things feel like everything that we do really involves a lot of different sides of healthcare and medicine and Science in general that will really help us know no matter what he'll be end up going into the thing about uh computer science is it's like a whole another world and like when he gets harder and then you accomplish it it's really fun and it's just good for the future of the career you actually come outside you do things you're not constantly in the classroom just working on computer stuff I love doing the the trade getting in and getting stopped down with my hands I have always liked doing hair and the color aspect of it is always been interesting to me and then I really like the relationships that I come to develop while I'm here but basically what I would think of we can make and that's what I like you can basically use your imagination I really like like doing work in here it's fun I get to be creative as I want what makes me excited is seeing all the kids get like really excited to see me and like being able to help them in like a significant way the kids are mostly pretty easy right after high school you can get a job if you get all your certifications so it really sets you up for life after that I think being able to use the things that we learn inside this class out in the room real world to help people I kind of liked building things and designing stuff and so when I first started I found it interesting to do some of the basic stuff a lot of the collaboration stuff that I haven't had a a year that I haven't enjoyed I get excited for him to go in every day just kind of make food with my friends culinary is such an important thing even outside of a career like if you're living on your own and you know how to cook if you it's a very important school to have what I'm most excited about this class is it's a lot of Hands-On stuff honestly I was really excited to just you know make new friends and learn something and experience something I never have before that I was really interested in so much fun to come in here every day with my friends and stuff and just make a new projects every day needing to create basically art forms we get to use all the school equipment like the computers and cameras to put together cookies of stories that people actually want to see and don't forget that you can earn college credit through ibtech or Vincent's University in each of these classes which could potentially save you hundreds of dollars in college or you could go straight into to the workforce with all the knowledge you've obtained from the career center
