Richmond Adult Education Announces Free Three-Day Boot Camp To Earn High School Equivalency Diploma

Richmond Adult Education is offering a free three-day boot camp designed to help participants earn their High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma, formerly known as the GED. 

The boot camp will run on the following schedule:

  • Thursday, January 22: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday, January 23: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday, January 24: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Participants will receive free testing and meals throughout the program. The accelerated format is designed for motivated individuals who are committed to earning their diploma in an expedited timeframe.

"This boot camp provides an excellent opportunity for adults in our community to achieve their educational goals," said Shari Cox of Richmond Adult Education. "We're committed to removing barriers to education by providing testing, instruction, and meals at no cost to participants."

"Education is a lifelong journey, and it's never too late to pursue your diploma," said Dr. Curtis Wright, Superintendent of RCS. "This boot camp represents our commitment to supporting all learners in our community, regardless of age or circumstance. We're proud to offer this opportunity to help adults achieve their educational dreams and open doors to better career opportunities."

Richmond Adult Education is located at 302 North 7th Street, Richmond, IN 47374. The program recently received a $500 grant  from the Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust to support the HSE program.
