RCS Announces Leadership Changes for 2022-2023 School Year

At the School Board meeting Wednesday night, Superintendent Dr. Curtis Wright announced several leadership changes. The following administrators will start in their new roles effective July 1, 2022.

• Elizabeth Markward will become the Director of Exceptional Student Education at the RCS Administration Building. Markward currently serves as the principal of Crestdale Elementary School, a position she has held for the past 7 years.
• Mallory Cameron will become the principal of Charles Elementary School. Cameron currently serves as the principal of Starr Elementary School, a position she has held for the past 2 years.
• Nicole VanDervort will become the principal of Vaile Elementary School. VanDervort currently serves as a district administrator at the RCS Administration Building.

Richmond Community Schools will soon begin the search for new principals for Crestdale Elementary School and Starr Elementary School.
