RCS Director of Operations Steve Jones Selected as Union County Schools Superintendent

RICHMOND, Indiana (November 4, 2025) - Richmond Community Schools (RCS) is proud to announce that Steve Jones, current Director of Operations, has been selected as the new superintendent of Union County Schools. Jones's appointment represents a significant achievement for both the administrator and the Richmond Community Schools district.

"Mr. Jones' appointment as superintendent is a testament to the quality of leadership we develop here at RCS," said Dr. Curtis Wright, RCS Superintendent. "We believe in growing leaders from within our organization, and Steve exemplifies the excellence that approach produces. While we will miss his contributions to our district, we are excited to see him take this next step in his career."

RCS will soon announce a contingency plan to address the transition in leadership and ensure continued excellence in district operations.
