Passport to Preschool and Kindergarten Registration Event - April 13 (4p-6p)

Support and grow your child’s love for learning by registering them for Preschool and Kindergarten at Richmond Community Schools and get them moving in the right direction for a future of limitless possibilities! If your child is five years old on or before August 1, then be sure to register your young student at the Passport to Preschool and Kindergarten Event on Thursday, April 13 from 4 pm to 6 p.m. Parents or legal guardians registering their children must bring a few things, including a copy of the child’s birth certificate, current immunization records and 2 forms of proof of residence, like a utility bill or lease agreement. Dane Hiltner named Assistant Director of Facilities

RICHMOND (February 23, 2023) – The Richmond Community School District is proud to announce that Mr. Dane Hiltner has joined the district as the new Assistant Director of Facilities.

Mr. Hiltner brings a wide range of experience to his role. He served 10 years as a member of the U.S. Army spending his time leading a Cadet Command Battalion, where he served as an Operations Officer. He was also a Company Commander that steered the Combat Support Military Police Company in Bamberg, Germany. Since his separation from the military, he has served in management and supervisory positions.

Mr. Hiltner will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of buildings, grounds, and facilities operations. He will also be responsible for managing and training RCS facilities personnel.

Mr. Hiltner is excited to be joining the district and takes great pride in taking care of our amazing RCS facilities. He shared, “We have a great group of maintenance workers here in the district. We are here to help make sure our teachers have the proper resources and facilities to provide our students with a high-quality education.”

Mr. Hiltner graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Honors Military History. He also has a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville. He resides in Richmond with his wife, Simona, and their four children.
