RHS Announces Resignation of Varsity Boys Basketball Coach

Richmond, Indiana, July 25, 2025 - Richmond High School Athletics announces that Billy Wright has resigned from his position as Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.

"We thank Coach Wright for his dedication to our basketball program and wish him the best in his future endeavors," said Robert Lee, Richmond High School Athletic Director.

Richmond High School Athletics will begin the search process immediately for a new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. The position opening will be posted at www.weRrichmond.com in the coming days.

RCS Names Trent Pipes as Assistant Principal of Test Intermediate School

🎉 Exciting news! Richmond Community Schools is thrilled to welcome Trent Pipes as the new Assistant Principal of Test Intermediate School!

With over a decade of educational experience and a Master's in Educational Administration from Ball State University, Trent brings a wealth of knowledge to our 5th and 6th grade students. Most recently serving as an Exceptional Education Teacher in our district, he's passionate about supporting every learner.

"My goal is to support Principal Laura Brazil and Test Intermediate School's staff in creating an environment where every student feels supported and prepared for success," says Pipes.

A true Richmond community member, Trent lives here with his wife Allison (a special education teacher at Vaile Elementary) and their two children.

RCS Expanding Community Partnerships for 2025-2026 School Year

Following Senate Enrolled Act 1, public schools throughout the State of Indiana are reevaluating budgetary costs for the coming school year. Richmond Community Schools (RCS) is currently doing the same. In addition, RCS is taking proactive steps to strengthen its network of community support to offset the shift in state funding priorities. As part of this effort, RCS is seeking to deepen partnerships with businesses, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to better support students’ social and emotional well-being.
