The Richmond Community School District is thrilled to announce its recent acquisition of the iconic McBride Stadium (201 NW 13th St) and the surrounding area which includes four ball fields, a move that marks a significant milestone in the district’s commitment to providing enhanced athletic facilities and fostering community engagement.

Due to foggy weather conditions, RCS will operate on a 2-hour delay Friday, February 23, 2024. Buses will run two hours later than usual.

At Richmond Community Schools, students who are identified as high-ability receive additional or differentiated enrichment services in Language Arts, Math, or both.

We wanted to inform you of an important update regarding our milk supply at Richmond Community Schools.

Yesterday, we received word of a significant power outage at our Anderson Prairie Farms milk distribution center. Unfortunately, this may disrupt our normal milk shipments until Monday. However, we want to reassure you that we have taken proactive steps to address this situation.

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) has provided us and other affected schools with waivers to serve milk in alternative ways during this time. Our Chartwells team is fully prepared with a plan for Friday and Monday, if necessary, to ensure that our students continue to have access to milk and other nutritious options.

We apologize for any inconvenience this temporary disruption may cause. Please rest assured that we are working diligently to minimize any impact on our students' dining experience.

Most students will have received their RCS Student ID Card and lanyard today Monday, January 29th. Remaining student IDs will be distributed in the coming days. As a reminder students will be utilizing these IDs for the purposes of food and transportation services. Please encourage accountability with your student each day to ensure they wear their lanyard. Transparency of our faculty, staff and students in our school buildings remains a priority through this implementation. We are excited to announce Monday, January 29th, all Richmond Community Schools Students will receive their student ID and lanyard. Upon distribution of student IDs and lanyards, all Richmond Community Schools Students will begin wearing their student ID and lanyard daily for the utilization purposes of food and transportation services.
