RCS selects Kimberly Pickering as New Board Member
RICHMOND, Indiana (September 8, 2023) – Richmond Community Schools Board of School Trustees held a special meeting last evening and have appointed Kimberly Pickering to fill the recently vacated At-Large seat. Her term will expire on December 31, 2026. Pickering will be replacing departing board member Stacy Mopps. Mr. Mopps has recently been hired by RCS as the Human Resources officer.
Mrs. Pickering is a Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) manager for Air Methods. She has over fifteen years of experience with management of all HR/Payroll/HRIS operations.
“I am looking forward to actively engaging with community members to address their concerns and needs,” said Pickering. “I have a passion to help shape the direction of education in Richmond.”
Kimberly (Brown) Pickering is a 1997 alumna of Richmond High School. She has four children. Her son, Kohen, is a freshman at Richmond High School. Her son, Keen, is a 5th grader at the Hibberd Program Building. Her son, Khy, is a 2nd grader, and her daughter, Kwyn, in a preschooler at Charles Elementary School.
